San Francisco, CA: Where you can’t fake the funk

Don’t you just love the way some words roll off your tongue?

This is exactly how I feel every time I would pass by the corner of Filmore and Geary in San Francisco and see, on the left side of the bus, one of the city’s touted musical gems: the Boom Boom Room. While being actually inside the place and engaging in gluttonous musical consumption is a situation I have yet to remedy—every time I am in San Fran, I stay quite near the area and seem to always take this fact for granted—I’m glad I stumbled upon the building after a trip to Japantown (located a sneeze away) to check out the murals painted on the exteriors.

Such a visual feast. Next time I’m there, I’m definitely checking out the beats as soon as my plane lands. :D
