Siem Reap, Cambodia: Window-hopping in Angkor

Here’s a common sight across Siem Reap’s massive Angkor temple complex: tourists and travelers camwhoring by the window.

From Angkor Wat to Angkor Thom, and all the way to Ta Prohm and Banteay Srei, no one could resist the opportunity to make Cambodia’s national treasure the backdrop of their latest Facebook profile picture.

This, of course, included our motley crew. Below are some favorite snaps of our trip there last June:

P, with our awesome (and ever-patient) tour guide Seila at Ta Prohm:

Of course, we didn’t just stop at the windows. We went for the doors, too.

And the hallways.

By the time we got to the pillars, things took a turn for the ridiculous.

Moment of truth: While in Cambodia, did you ever take self portraits*** that look eerily similar to any of the above?

***Please don’t use the word “selfie” in this blog. I will keeeeel you.
